Big Ten Disputes Duke's Amazon Prime Broadcast Deal

The Big Ten Conference and Fox Sports are pushing back against Duke University's groundbreaking multi-year broadcasting deal with Amazon Prime Video.  The dispute centers on a scheduled neutral-site game between Duke and Michigan at Madison Square Garden in December.  The Big Ten claims that because the game is in "shared territory" (New York), and the two teams played on an ACC/ESPN broadcast last year in Washington D.C., the rights for this year's matchup belong to the Big Ten and Fox Sports.  There is currently no clear resolution, though relocation of the game to a non-shared territory has been floated as a potential fix.

 

Cameron Boozer Declares for the 2026 Draft

Duke freshman standout Cameron Boozer has officially declared for the 2026 NBA Draft.  The National Player of the Year averaged 22.5 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game, earning the Naismith Trophy and the Wooden Award.  He is widely projected as a top-three to top-five pick.  His departure comes as Duke simultaneously announced a historic Amazon Prime Video streaming partnership for three neutral-site games next season.

 

Michigan State Ranks High in Early 2026-27 Projections

As the offseason heats up, Michigan State is drawing significant attention in early 2026 - 27 rankings.  In the widely respected Bart Torvik analytical projections, the Spartans land at No. 7 nationally.  Duke holds the top spot, followed by national champion Michigan and Arizona rounding out the top three.

 

St. John's Transfer Jason Sanon Commits to West Virginia

Former St. John's guard Jason Sanon has committed to West Virginia via the transfer portal.  The 6-foot-5 guard averaged 7.9 points and 2.4 rebounds per game for the Red Storm this season.  He joins a deep incoming class for the Mountaineers that includes five additional transfers and four high school recruits.

Five-Star Center Obinna Ekezie Jr. Commits to Louisville

Seven-foot center Obinna Ekezie Jr. has committed to Louisville and will reclassify from the class of 2027 to 2026, making him immediately eligible next season.  the son of NBA veteran Obinna Ekezie, he averaged 17.1 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game at Southeastern Prep, shooting 60.2% from the field.  He becomes the seventh addition to Louisville's roster.
