A series of major upsets and significant victories have reshaped the college basketball landscape. In a stunning result, the No. 2 ranked Michigan Wolverines suffered their first loss of the season, falling to the Wisconsin Badgers in a close 91 - 88 game. The Badgers, who were significant underdogs, secured the win with an impressive performance that included 15 three-pointers. This was Wisconsin's first victory over a top-two ranked team since 2019.
Meanwhile, the Nebraska Cornhuskers continued their historic season, improving to a perfect 16 - 0 record. They mounted a remarkable 16-point second-half comeback to defeat the Indiana Hoosiers 83 - 77 on the road. This victory marks the best start in the program's history. Jamarques Lawrence was instrumental in the win, scoring a career-high 27 points.

In a spectacular individual performance, high school senior Dionte Neal of Reidsville, North Carolina, scored 63 points in his team's 103 - 73 victory over Hibriten. This performance set a new school record and came just one night after he had scored 52 points in a previous game. Neal, a 5-foot-9 point guard who has committed to UNC Greensboro, is now averaging 38.4 points per game. His 63-point game is the fourth-highest single-game scoring total in the nation this season.
