Stokes: Dual-Sport Phenom
Tyran Stokes, the top-ranked basketball prospect in the SportsCenter NEXT 100, is making waves as a dual-sport athlete at Notre Dame High School in California. The 6-foot-7, 230-pound standout recently made his football debut as a wide receiver, posting 57 receiving yards and a touchdown in a 57 - 14 victory over Culver City High School on September 26. Not content to rest on his gridiron success, Stokes immediately returned to the basketball court for the Border League, where he dominated with 27 points and 8 rebounds in a win against Dynamic Prep (Texas).
His ability to excel in both sports places him in elite company alongside legendary two-sport athletes including LeBron James (who was a two-time All-Ohio wide receiver), Allen Iverson (a dual-threat quarterback and state champion), and Jalen Suggs (Minnesota's 2019 Gatorade Football Player of the Year).
Stokes' pursuit of excellence in both basketball and football demonstrates the rare athletic versatility that has historically produced some of the greatest athletes in sports history.

Adkins Commits to Kansas
In a major recruiting victory, Davion Adkins, a four-star center from Prolific Prep (Florida) and ranked among the top prospects in the Class of 2026, announced his commitment to the University of Kansas on Sunday night. The 6-foot-9, 216-pound center chose the Jayhawks over Houston and Rutgers. "I will be taking my talents to the University of Kansas," Adkins told ZAGSBLOG. "I chose Kansas because of the relationship that my AAU coach had with the coaching staff."
When asked what Kansas was getting in him, Adkins confidently stated on ESPN; "They'll get a dog, defender, scorer, they'll get everything they want. They'll get a national championship, too." The commitment comes despite Adkins undergoing emergency surgery in Las Vegas on Saturday for a sports hernia, which is expected to sideline him for 3 - 4 weeks. Prolific Prep coach Ryan Bernardi praised Adkins' potential: "Davion has immense upside due to his ability to play inside and out.
Holt has "Magnificent" visit to Arizona
Five-star shooting guard Caleb Holt from Prolific Prep (California), ranked as the No. 1 shooting guard in the Class of 2026 by 24/7 Sports, took an official visit to the University of Arizona this past weekend and came away highly impressed. "The Arizona visit was magnificent!" his father Desman Holt told ZAGSBLOG. "Their message was he would have every opportunity to earn the right to step in and be featured from Day 1."
The 6-foot-5 guard has already visited Providence, Kentucky, and Alabama, and is scheduled to visit Auburn next weekend. As a sophomore, Holt averaged 20.2 points and 9.5 rebounds per game and earned numerous accolades including Alabama Mr. Basketball, Class 6A Player of the Year, and Gatorade and MaxPreps Alabama Player of the Year. He led Buckhorn High School to a second consecutive state title and was named MVP of the state tournament. Prolific Prep coach Ryan Bernardi stated: "[He's a] consummate winner and two-way impact [player]. Caleb will go down as one of the most accomplished high school players in recent years.
